Lancaster County TreeVitalize Metros Program
The Lancaster County Conservation District and LIVE Green announce the Lancaster County Treevitalize Metros program. TreeVitalize Metros has a goal of increasing tree canopy cover in the metropolitan areas of Pennsylvania. The program provides technical assistance and matching grants to communities for tree-planting to help establish urban forest management programs.

The program will be administered locally through a partnership between the Lancaster County Conservation District and LIVE Green.
Funds, up to $15,000 can be awarded to municipalities or municipal agencies. Trees may be planted within the public right-of-way or within parks and greenways open to the public. Application deadline is March 1, 2012 for plantings to be completed during the fall of 2012.
